Column three offers options for troubleshooting your network performance. This column of buttons is specifically used to troubleshoot any issues related to your network connection.
- From Network Settings, select Configure Network. Under the Additional Settings tab, select Advanced Settings. From here, select Alternative MAC Address, and the MAC Address for the Xbox should be listed in the bottom left hand corner. From the home menu, select Settings. Select Network. Select Advanced Settings.
- Then, on the Xbox, use the alternate MAC capability to give the Xbox the MAC address of your PCs network adapter. Run IPCONFIG /ALL to find the MAC address of your Ethernet adapter on the PC. Note once you make this change you cannot use the PC network adapter on the same network as the Xbox One since they now have the same MAC address.
I just received an Xbox One X, am progressing through the initial setup and am stuck on the network section. The network that the console will connect to is wireless with a mac filter, so in order to connect to the network, the console's wireless MAC address is required.
